Purpose

  • The purpose of RSVP is to engage persons 55 years or older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs, and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers and those they serve.

About RSVP

  • The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is one of the largest volunteer efforts in the nation.  As an RSVP volunteer, you choose where you want to serve, how to serve, when to serve, and the type of impact you will have on the community.  RSVP staff strives to match your skills, experience, and interests with community needs.

  • The needs of Pinellas County are numerous and diverse.  Last year, over 1,000 RSVP volunteers provided 213,000 hours of service to more than 150 public and non-profit agencies.  The service translates to a total savings of nearly $3 million to the recipient agencies.  Many of the agencies and organizations could not exist without the time, expertise, skills, and dedication contributed by RSVP volunteers.
